Re: ODS - any advice?
That's great, thanks. I'm just wondering... will the delay fade out when the switch is disengaged. The only reference in the NDR-5 manual to the tail effect (as in the Ocean's 11) is in the reverb footswitch (shimmer effect) 'The effect will fade out when you release the footswitch'. On paper, it looks great.

Re: ODS - any advice?
I've never tried
I tend to leave delay on or off per song not something I switch in and out much.
It's all fairly meat and potatoes , a spring , plate and hall for 60's 70's 80's verbs and 3 different delays, probably Tape, BBD and digital . It will do tap tempo and as you say will shimmer the reverb on holding the fswitch.
I've seen them for less than £100

That NUX pedal looks nice--they obviously looked at the graphic design of the Strymon stuff!
If you want to integrate your own Belton-style digital reverb into your amp design, check out the PCB Lou designed for me:

The Nux pedal is attractive on several levels. Though this board with the Belton Brick also sounds interesting. I'm guessing you also need the accompanying power board with +5V and +/-15V along with a separate step down transformer running from the mains for safe operation. Compared to the pedals, it looks pretty basic but there are plenty of positive reviews of the brick. How does it sound?

It sounds pretty springy. Depth goes pretty deep, for long tails, or short for room sounds. Sorry, I didn't make a demo, and now this amp is gone, but here is a gut shot. You can see the PSU board in there, too:

Re: ODS - any advice?
So I guess this is all in the past tense now but here goes...
The green and black wires from the pot on the left are your input the black and white pair from the top of the board are your output.
Middle pot is a dual gang pot? (hard to tell) adjusting the decay of two channels. I'm guessing you are taking a mono in, splitting it/processing it then mono out.
The pot on the right looks like a tone pot from the board layout.
Bottom left trimpot biases the signal. Adjusted with a scope? Top right trimpot blends the two channels.
I'd be interested in seeing where you placed it in the signal chain. Tracing the wires back it seems to be right before the preamp. There seems to be some flexibility with the ODS circuit.
It's an elegant build, very nice. And you've given plenty of space between the reverb "unit" and the preamp board. Is this important? I mean, would I need to be careful of em interference? Either from the preamp circuit or the reverb unit?

I don't remember all the details. My layout will clear up your questions:
Later, I found that the tone control jumpers needed to be shielded, to prevent unwanted noise. My solution looks like a NASA kludge:

I see, so it's basically picking the signal up and porting it back to the second preamp triode grid - like the Blackface Reverb.
