Thank you very much for the compliments Colossal. Yes, a lot of time and dedication put into this amp! The outlier of this circuit are all those LNFBs. It really cramps up the space quickly, specially with the older larger components. Even I was amazed it didn’t look that bad after adding everything in.
I was going to say...it's a feat to just pack all of that in there! Yes, the LNFBs take up a lot of real estate and it goes quickly. I try to plan the assembly order or things get cramped and then you risk nicking components with the soldering iron
I hope to build a JM/SSS type amp at some point. I love that sound!

Very cool! Man those resistors are HUGE
Would love to hear some sounds from it!

Phil, I had 5min today and did a quick take for you (mistakes and all). I missed playing, nursing the newborn is a handful. Nothing fancy, just recorded through my phone. The pic is my set up, large open back pine 1x12 with EVM 12S

standing, love it! Man the reverb sounds delicious

Yes, it does, and, I don't really hear any of the hum you fought to subdue.
Yes I think the hum got mitigated pretty well. I can only realise there is a hum if I reduce the reverb return to zero, but if I don’t I cannot even remember it is there, specially on a playing situation compared to the loudness of the guitar. Overall the noise floor is great.
Thanks for the compliments Phil, Colossal, viperdoc and dbharris.

Bomba, do you have a layout for your #004 clone? I'm interested in doing a #004 project, but couldn't find a #004 layout. Did you just use the Hartman SSS layout? Thanks!
Thanks for the question, I actually used a pre-drilled Amplified Nation board of the Wonderland (John Mayer Sig). Just added some extra holes and eyelet terminals. Wonderland was therefore my base layout. For the filters Hartman was the reference. Hope it helps! And good luck on your build

Thanks, that's helpful! So the #004 tonestack is 100% the exact same (i.e., same values and wiring arrangement) as the Wonderland?
And did you draw a schematic yourself? Just curious about the sources for #004 schematic/layout, as I don't recall a schematic for #004 leaking anywhere. The gutshot of #004 is too pixelated (at least for my eyes) to piece the circuit together. And I think in previous posts you mentioned that the available "clones" Ceriatone SSS and Two-Rock Sterling aren't 100% accurate to #004. So just curious about where the source material is -- and if you're willing to share. Thanks again!
Thanks, I appreciate it. One last question: I think in some of your previous posts, you indicated that the Ceriatone layout is not 100% accurate. Aside from the obvious layout difference (Ceriatone/Sterling is not PCB, like #004 is, but I'll be sticking with the non-PCB layout), what changes would I have to make to the Ceriatone layout to get the circuit to being 100% stock #004 circuit?
