I am about to build a copy of a Princeton wide-panel and something looked amiss in the input section. With 1 instrument plugged in, you have a gridleak and gridstopper of 75k each, which looks to me like the equivalent of a 150k volume pot set to half. And with 2 instruments plugged in you'd have no ground reference for the grid at all. i only need 1 input jack anyway, but using a 75k grid leak resistor doesnt seem like the best idea, but if i were to use something closer to the blackface standard of a 1 meg, would the higher input signal overload the grid of the first 12sc7 section? (i know the 5c2 uses a 6sc7 but I'm using a 12v filament supply to save money on the tubes.)

Plugging in 2 instruments provides the ground reference thru each 75k then thru the instruments then to ground. Not normal practice nowadays for sure. You can use a 1 meg. Or 500k for increased peace of mind.
