Re: John Mayer with a new 70's ODS just like me :D
I know JM has had at least two 70's Combos for a while (pic below). The colour of the switches in not so obvious on the pic but the pilot light of the left one looks somewhat similar. Therefore I wonder if this is a head he got for one of them or if it is a new amp.
Has HAD done bare wood (non tolex) cabinets (excluding the kitty hawk export ones)?

You know just the other day I too was sitting on my Gulfstream holding my ODS.

Hey John where do you want the amp shipped too?. That's Ok I'll go ahead and pick it up myself. See you tomorrow.

Hmmm, he used to ride around in his gulfstream with Jennifer Aniston on his lap. I guess the Dumble was less expensive.

thanks
this amp took a while for me to gel with. I resisted using a 12 AX7 in the PI and used the original 12 AY7 which is slightly less gain but true to the original amp.

He was right, it needs opening up before it starts to come to life but I've really been enjoying this amp.
I'm also running it wet/dry ....
so the amp is dry and I take the pre amp out into 100% wet delay and reverb then a stereo volume pedal and into a small class D power amp into a stereo 2x12 cab which is the wet config, controlled by the volume pedal. So the amp sound is never compromised in any way as it's gtr-cable-amp. The FX are totally separate.
