Extinction Event

Post by Reeltarded »

:D

I need power caps, matching resistor set,, a 22u cap, a day cutting and polishing the chassis, an output selector, switch set, pots, knobs.. and electricity.

Mod will include split bias and maybe nothing else.

Nice project and I know you will build a kick ass Komet out of that pile of stuff.

I also have Komet 50 (Concorde) build parts gathered , cab, chassis, transformers, and parts.

That's going to be a killer build!
Is your chassis already folded? If so how does one polish it?

How many of these things did you build before coffee this morning, Mark? =)

It's folded. It's the craziest freaking chassis I have ever seen! I will only polish the exposed bits, top and sides. I will start with irregular pattern spot sanding where the worst areas are with 320 paper, overall with 400 up to 1200 then irregular with #0000 wool until it's nice enough to put on a wheel with rouge and finish with swirl remover. Not going to coat it. I might even hit it with a mild acid at the end. I want it to be natural but very smooth.

Mustards and Xf2s with a 4 notch GZ34 and whatever works best in the front. :)

Looks like the right stuff!

BTW, where did you get the chassis (if you can say). Right now, about the only place I can find a TW chassis is Ceriatone. Did you have that made?

I traded Greg for the boards, box, transformers and chassis. The headbox is dated 2006.

The chassis is 1/8th inch aluminum built to original pattern I guess. It's really stupid heavy duty.

Only recently unpacked everything and found that it has a Concorde OT so 4k8 it will be. I'm excited. They sound super dry and squeezy.

meh pic underneath.. I mean.. it's a tank..
