Someone else can likely confirm, but I thought I'd read somewhere else they're using Visio for many of them, but I'm not 100% sure. talbany and I think martin manning did some of them and could speak up.

I am using Visio for what I published. Others too, some are using Inkscape and Illustrator. Few ExpressSCH and even Windows Paint.
