I have just completed the “re-build” and mod of an old 72 silverface Bassman for a friend. It is basically a JTM45 in the normal channel and a 3rd gen Dumble (clean only) in the bass channel (minus the jazz/rock and mid switch). The PI and output section are early Dumble including a 12AT7. Thank you for the JTM45 chocopower! The basics of the circuit are posted in the technical section.
I completely rebuilt the amp. New board etc, kept some of the big old coupling caps. Amp is quiet and sounds good, however, still some fine tuning to be done. I felt it is a bit “hot” as my friend uses pedals exclusively and mostly plays with the guitar wide open.
Waiting for a new stainless steel face plate and the chrome bits to arrive.
Before the fact. I had tried out some mods on the old board.

Nice professional-looking work there! The faceplate is screen printed, I guess?
