Yeah 4 piece cover. Sides then top/bottom. Same as tweed or early Fender. I use genuine suede so the pieces aren't big enough to wrap the whole cab
another beauty Taylor! I need to wrap my head around the blend of the two circuits and the concept of a 1/2 loop. I've been working on trying to blend the two circuits with an eye toward a similar concept.
This amp is bonafide. I am working on my recording station atm, then i am hoping to post some sound clips. I run the amp either direct, or with a keely dark side in front, and a carbon copy in the loop. Overall, highly impressed. Thanks Taylor!
Ok. I've had this amp awhile now and figured it shouldn't be shown after the build then never been seen from again.
I dont have any decent clips. I've got a couple cell phone clips that I can post, but they dont do the amp justice.
For one the amps leather covering is awesome. I had heard that suead was very durable but I was skeptical. It is. HAD didn't just use it because it was fancy. I had to haul the amp through the last two storms hurricane laura and delta in my crappy work truck with no love, with the fear of it getting destroyed. The amp is durable and didn't miss a lick.
The clean channel is out of this world. And that's compared to a twin reverb. The twin is on equal level as this amp but it's two different tones all together.
I have put away all of my pedals. I have no need for any form of boost ahead of the amp.
The reverb is slightly too overwhelming. But most of that is my style. I like the amp to feel "in the room". But i do like reverb. I never set the reverb past 9 o'clock, and i have actually thought about sending it to amp nation to tone it down, or talking to them over the phone and doing it myself. At wide open the reverb will send itself into oscillation at a real slow pace.
I have only used the effects loop with a carbon copy. The carbon copy along with the reverb can give this amp a studio like ambience. It is a truly nice combo. I would recommend it to anybody.
I do not know how to use the inboard dumble loop to effect the sound of the gain. It's not that I cant tell the difference, it's that I havent tried it enough.
The switches in the clean channel that adjust the pre amp boost are genius. I have played a couple amp with a switch to dump the tone stack, and the ability to adjust what is enhanced when hitting the boost is awesome. It makes the preamp boost so much more useful.
.
Overall I am happy, and for the money I spent. 4000 dollars, i got alot more amplifier than i expected. It is a nice addition to my collection.

100w with 50w half power switch
Beauty of an amp! Nice clean work.
One question - what is the knob on the back next to the 4ohm out for? I was thinking VNF until I saw 2 leads from it on the gut shot. Care to share?
