On the subject of posting gut shots. Many years ago I let some folks look in my amp (no pics were taken however) and they actually went on to build some Trainwreck "inspired" amps, albiet with quite a few changes like a rectifier tube, different layout, different caps, etc. They sounded quite different but still decent. However at that time I got a few nasty phone calls from some folks that were basically defending Ken's stuff even though the amps were not true clones at all. At the time Ken didn't really seem to care as the amps were considerably different, but some other folks did care. So... basically I don't let pics out of this amp. Not that I really would feel odd that about it but more concerned that some folks would come back to me that would make an issue of it.

That said my amp is basically the same as Francesca, but with the later black Pacific OT. The only part difference I could find value wise was the smaller bright cap on mine is 50pf, but I don't normally use that anyway. My amp has a different brand of tube sockets, ohm selector, and a few other tiny things. Oh, and some of the wiring is a different color!

Cheers,
GK
Makes sense. I really wasnt "calling" for gut shots anyway..was just curious is all. Kinda funny and sad..that even while alive the builder didn't mind but yet others did. Guess it goes to show how cool Ken was, and others not so much. Once again great playing I enjoy all the clips you post.

Hi!
Sorry, if my words were kinda bold on you, martins3325!
You were kindly asking, not calling :)

I'm no native speaker, appropriate words are lacking me.

Peace, man!

Ciao

Wow. Glen you had some serious SRV mojo goin' on in that video. I just loooooove the way your Wreck sounds clean. I'm getting a Ceriatone Liverpull but having the Toneslut trannies put in. I hope I get remotely close to that sweet clean tone you get. And of course the gain isn't half bad either! :-p

Well done, sir.

Thanks! That song was kind of my tribute to SRV.

Speaking of Liverpool amps...

The song in the new video "Need Me Bad" is on my CD but played thought an original Liverpool. The rest of my CD is an Express.

That's cool. Keep the Express, trade the Liverpool in for a house. :-p
