wreck clone build paul ruby

can anyone tell me how i may get in touch with mr ruby as his email bounces back to me.need a wreck clone built asap.thanks.p.s. how does his wreck builds compare to ceriatone???

use the email link on Paul's website. Otherwise his spam filters may block it. Do not add the address to your mail tho, as he randomly changes it to beat the spammers.

Nik @ Ceriatone builds a good amp, but Paul builds a custom work of art. I own the spalted maple wreck featured on Paul's website, and I cant reccomend him highly enough... In fact he's done several custom items for me. Having said that, I have dealt with Nik also, and he's a great guy in his own right...

I thought Spalted Maple was a soft wood and prone to damage.

How's it holding up? Do you take it out at all?

If it was hard maple to begin with and the process is stopped at the proper stage, it is a hard wood. If it was soft maple to begin with, it is still soft.

can I use dual 50 ufs for filter caps or does it have to be single 20uf's and 40 ufs' only ? thanx

I have a flight case for it, and I'm pretty much a home studio wanker these days... The odd jam here and there, but thats it. But as Dr Hulsey commented, it's a very hard maple to begin with, and it was harvested and cut into boards long before the spalting process damaged the wood. I'm not very worried about it.
