I can't tell you where but there are a couple chassis threads that are spec-ed exactly in the forum. I've always designed my own and I usually make them a little wider and longer than the originals.

Yeah, laser cutting is definitely the way to do it. No more 1/8" plate spinning like a lawnmower blade in the drill press. No burrs either -- not to mention those wicked cuts on fingers that are supposed to play barre chords.

Since you've got CAD chops and have done this before I'll throw this in for other readers: get the parts before you draft the program. If those 1" tube sockets are really 1.02", you can spec them in at 1.03" instead of hand-filing them wider. Horrible noise -- sounds like you are beating a donkey. Lay stuff out physically. Will the power transformer clear the back panel cleat? Does a cab bolt come down directly over the fuseholder? Sometimes it helps to see it first.

Cheers, sh

You are right there. You'd be surprised how off part dimensions can be

Love the line about beating a donkey, I know exactly what you mean :D

Did that on my last chassis as nothing fitted as it was an old one from a friend.

Hi Stretch,

Shad of Quinn amps posted a few years back some cad files.
It's a dxf file, but that extension is not allowed in the attachments for this forum, so a zip file.
You do not have the required permissions to view the files attached to this post.
