Since I last posted in this thread, I've picked up a Lava ELC, and I love it. At first I wasn't sure about it, probably just because it was different to my ears than the Monster Rock cable I'd been using for years. (Well, 3 different ones, the right angle jack kept breaking...) The Lava is half the capacitance as the Monster, 26pf/ft vs. 41.4pf/ft respectively.
The Lava is my go to cable now, and I have a lot of choices.
I had a George L's for a brief period also, I didn't gel with it and ended up getting the Lava. It seemed the low end wasn't very clear to my ears. I play lower tuned 99% of the time, in drop C, so the low end has to sound clear and tight.
I finally brought up the session (that was done 5 years ago, I had the Lava and Fender on loan.) and automated mutes and chopped up the audio so it's easy to listen and compare. Watch the left hand side of the screen, where you can tell which track is un-muted. They're all 20' cables, Monster Rock, Fender (Premium?), and Lava Clear Connect.
The differences are very underwhelming and minute, you'd better wear headphones if you can! It's a lot easier to hear differences in the room playing than it is with just a recording. But, just to give you an idea, here ya go!

Yay experiments! Spearmint? I'd rather have wintergreen.
