Chris makes amazing transformers, no doubt. He knows every aspect of all old Marshall transformers. I have had some amazing chats with him. But, they are not cheap and availability is feast or famine. I hope he becomes very successful. In some of the old amps I have repaired that needed transformers, Chris is the man. His transformers brought those old Marshall amps back to life...

But, for new builds, I really like the Mercury offerings and consider them very viable indeed...

I guess I got lucky, Chris had both the 784-139 OT and the C1999 choke in stock. They shipped y'day.

I did talk with him once, I thought it would be a 10 minute call, lasted about two hours as I recall. I don't know how he keeps all that knowledge from running out his ears!
