Cheers Martin,
also ive noticed that there is a missing jack on the 3rd gen layout i believe its the power amp? out of curiosity, why has that been taken out?
I've finally sourced and received about 98% of the parts (excluding transformers) and im starting to drill out the chassis and dry fitting the components. Will post some pics soon.
About the switches (for rock/jazz etc.), ive got two sets of dpdt switches, one set is on/on and the other is on/off/on, which should i use? the on/off/on are much better quality.
Also, for a foot pedal jack, do you recommed an xlr or a 5 pin midi female jack?
Thanks again!
(EDIT: recommendations for the bus bar?)

Re: Dumble clone first build questions
I assume Tony has made the layout drawing accurately, so this particular amp just didn't have a "power amp in" jack. Unless you are wanting an exact replica, there's no reason not to add one.
I would use on-on switches, as the center "off" is not useful, except in the case of the Rock/Jazz switch. There you can get the equivalent of the "PAB" tone stack lift on the later gen amps in the center position.
You can save yourself some effort and cost by using a standard MIDI cable and matching DIN jacks.
For the bus, people have used solid copper wire from house wiring cable, or you might find some tinned bus wire.
