18 W LP w/wo NFB ?

Hello gents,

I saw with the 18W Marshalls and others that there is usually no NFB with 2xEL84.
How you deal with 18W Liverpool? The 4xEL84 version has it - the 2xEL84 ...?

Is it a common usage no NFB with 18W amps?

Because the Liverpool is a higher gain amp then the Rocket the NFB and presence control would be helpful to clean up the amp some on the 18w version.

The Rocket doesn't need NFB and is fine as is.

Hi,
thank you very much. You confirmed my guess.

I have a PPIMV in, so I changed the Presence to a High cut.

For the moment I struggle with a shorting at the secundary of PT, therefore I have time to watch the build and think about troubleshooting or pimping (like a 3n3 before V2 or a 47k+100k trim next to the coupling cap and so on while waiting for the new PT.
