Express and 6V6

Please forgive what might appear to be a stupid question.
On Wikipedia it describes a Trainwreck Express as being able to run EL34's as well as 6V6's.
Can anybody corroborate? How does it sound?
I have a THD Flexi 50 that I run a pair of 6V6's in and I like it a lot.
