-change 2nd stage 10k cathode to 2.7K/.68
-add .68 to 3rd stage cathode
-change 1st stage plate resistor to 220K or more and put a small cap across if everything is too bright
-short across 470k/470p
-add voltage divider after gain pot. 68k/68K is popular here. But you can mix it however you like, or even try with no divider. Sometimes that works
-add fixed resonance, or depth pot
-I like 47K 8ohm tap NFB but everyone has their preference
-google "Jose mods" to confirm , and to see how to add "clippers", for even more compression and crunch, and volume loss
-put everything on a switch so you can see what it does

Hey I learned from one of the best ^^^^
Amongst many things, one of things that Miles told that that really stuck, concerning dividers,staging,peaking,etc was that "many things work, everything's a bit different, and it's all good" . I like that as a philosophical approach, as it really got me to get in there and try everything, to figure out what I like.

I know this is old thread but If you want to get randy aiken excited bring up aspen pittmans attenuator circuit, which does date back to 30's i think.

you can patent a device for a new application in this case "for guitar amps".

Was going to build one for guitarist named marc lucas, lost interest when he stole my sonic blue usa strat I had wanted since 8th grade. He traded my guitar in on another used guitar, I lent it to him for like a week was deal.
A friend somehow knew the truth and told me where my strat went.I went to shop where he unloaded it could not get enough evidence, he had also crossed state line. He is awesome picker, but rotten human.

No way....don't underestimate that, there is a lot of coping going on. That is some bullshit with the spray though and a tub of silicone, you were on some fucking drugs that day haha.

We used to have glyptal in quarts and gallons. It was used to help reinsulate larger transformers and motors to reinsulate and extend life. Was rugged crap,was a ge product I think. Super Varnish with epoxy maybe.
Would be almost if not impossible to remove. It was used on power equipment big kinda stuff. better when baked on too.
