Waterproof (and apple juice, soup, coffee proof etc) keyboards available cheap. I got mine at Office Depot under $20. Saves a LOT of hassle. Highly recommended.
My old keyboard really got to me one day so I did a Gallagher on it. Can't let myself get that out of control again. Price diff between regular and waterproof was a big $2 so I went for it.
Ya JB is a great guitar player but then I take his album off after 3 songs and put Albert King on and get lost in the air between the notes.
More power to Joe. He is really working it with all the PBS specials. But I just need some better lyrics that say more with less words. And I guess thats the same on Guitar. Just say a little more with a little less.
Ah Bonamassa, saw him playing in NL 6 years ago. Went out to see a pretty unknown guy, recommended by a friend. It was a tiny club that he played, not much more then 150 people present. But my Jaw dropped. I had just seen one of the worlds best guitar players. Afterwards he began playing bigger venues, but usually making a tour through Holland. Now it's even worse, only Carré Amsterdam once or twice, then off to Germany. It's amazing how he did that.
This video kind of captures the first show I saw him. It's from Rockpalast, a much younger Bonamassa, and I believe a lot better then what he is now. Mind you he is playing rental gear. A JTM45 reissue and a JCM800. Tone is really in the fingers, definately don't skip the violin play and the slide playing.
After seeing videos like that I was really excited when the Royal Albert Hall cd came out. Listened to it once - thought it sounded great but was never inspired to listen to the whole thing again. It comes up on my itunes shuffle every now and again and I think the same thing...."that's really cool. next??? "
There's no denying he's a bad ass though. Especially when you see a video like that.
I do listen to Black Country Communion every now and then.
I liked his earlier years more than present material. Bloodline songs has some smoking solos for sure. I also liked the more raw singing that he used to do.
The most I have liked Joes tones. Not a single bad tone from him. Have almost all of his cd's...collecting dust, sad to say.
I trawelled to see the first RAH consert and went to the fan meeting. Great gig and nice afterparty.
