Hey guys, hope everyone is well. Have not been around in a while. I was messing around with some overdriven tones with my Quinn 183 clones yesterday, which I have not been using much lately. (Been playing mostly clean with my Super reverb and Vox HW15) Anyway, did a quick take of poli with to much delay, and stumbled on a bunch of clips i had made with the 6L6 version of the amp I have. I think some of these show off some of the great qualities 183 has. Pick lightly and its smooth as glass. Dig in, and you get amazingly thick and rich harmonics. Something I have not heard in any of the other Dumbles I have played. Such a great and cool design by the man! Anyway, I am posting several different clips using a few different guitars that i think really show off some of these attributes. If I have posted one before, sorry about that. I hope some of you guys who have never had the pleasure of playing one of these can see why its so much fun. On top of the other cool things about it, it is by FAR the biggest sounding amp I have ever heard. The monster low mids just makes you laugh. Even at lower volumes, you feel like you are in a stadium. SO fine! Hope you dig some of the tones even half as much as I do.
Messing with a Knaggs Kanai. GREAT guitar!!!
