Well, neither Alice or Axl play much electric guitar that I know of.

In another thread you didn't seem to know what an OT was.

So try a little humility here or you will likely be ignored.

Hi Cantplay.

Thanks for your reply. I just seen it now and i am headed off to bed.

But no it

Cantplay wrote:It the cap shows damage, it is probably best to replace it.

Any particular reason you chose that schematic? Have you heard it play?

Your schematic is for an amp with 2 power tubes, and you want to use 4.

Will your power transformer have enough current to supply the extra heaters, and B+ current for twice as many tubes?

Is this amp to play at home, or on stage? 4 6L6 will play quite loud. Way too loud for a small apartment or home.

Hey Blokes

What happen to all my post's? I see other reply's to post's over 50x but i don't get it. i am still needed help. Is there a place to go to determine the corrct Chok and transformer for at least 2 op tubes?

And that was a bad day. That is why i'am on social security. Sometime my brain does not work. It;s just a black hole sometimes

yes i know what a ot is and what a md is also a opp.

You're following a published plan that has a complete parts list. Why not just use what it says? You cannot use the Stancor because it doesn't have enough current and the filament transformer you need is 6.3VAC, not 12.6.

Well some or most of the parts are not aval anymore on Mouser Electronics web site.
Also i did not have much in the way to this comment at this time.
"Above parts you may already have in your junk box or you can buy at your local Radio Shack store"
I was using what i have on hand and also a transformer i got on Fleabay. And as far as the Filly transformer i am using what is intended as quoted on the Schematic builder website.

Thanks for the comment Firestorm

Look, if you are on social security, and want to spend your money on an amp you will probably not like, go for it.

However, you don't seem to have a plan of attack at all. You posted a schematic that you are not even following. Your PT/OT/choke choice is dependent on a schematic and the goal of your build. How do you expect anyone to help you when no one knows where you want to go?

If you are willing to spend $ on a 450mA PT, why don't you go to youtube, find some videos amp reviews to which the sounds are appealing to you. Then google to find the schematic and either follow that schematic, or make minor changes to it if you have to. It does not appear you have the slightest amount of knowledge in tube amp design or construction and people are busy. They want to see a specific question that can be answered....not tutor some guy who has no idea what he wants.

I'm quite sure this guy is fucking with us either that should not be anywhere near high voltage amplification.

Ask him where the 'burst pics are at.

Mark, I've been wondering that myself. Although it would be kind of fun to watch him hook up 4 - 6l6 tubes for class A with that wimpy little PT. Oh, that smell, the smell that gets around you . . .
