The fly-cons are ok, but I don't like the new typeface too much, or the generally lower contrast color scheme. Both make the text harder to read IMO. You can increase the size of the font but you can't embolden it.

Exactly. You'd think they'd INCREASE the eye-candy to provide incentive for folks still on 4 or 4s to upgrade to Retina displays. Instead they dumb it down.
