Re: Shielded cable in Rocket builds?
I just put sheilded cable on the input of my rocket thing with the paralell gain stage.I had some hiss before and it was gettin real wild if I cranked up the parallel stage.
Now its so quiet I can barely tell its on when I don't have the extra gain kicked in and now I can turn the gain stage all the way up with out having to much hiss.
I can't imagine an extra 6 inches of sheilded cable on my 20' cord is making much difference in high end.All though I haven't had a chance to play it cranked

This is more or less how I thought it would play out. It is a bit of a mystery why shielded cable was used. Terminating shielded cable is just as much hassle as mounting the 33K resistor on the circuit card.
