Well that's an even bigger drag...I didn't think it would be possible to outdo the first post, but boy was I wrong. That represents everything bad about guitar IMO. It's like a woman talking to you endlessly about everything that you could care less about. Just kill me now...please!
I feel badly for all those symphony members that had the pleasure of backing that guy up. His guitar faces are quite comical though...when he really gets going he looks like he is taking it in the ass...not that I would know what that looks like.

Starts at 5:48. First number is 3 minutes and I thought, well, it doesn't really matter. Play the 2nd number at 8:48. There's a whole hour of it.
There's something fishy about scalloped necks. I listened anyway, for quite a while, just for the halibut. But after a while, I just wanted him to clam up.

Make no mistake- those short quick runs take considerable skill and quick hands. It's making it sound slow that is so amazing...

I stand corrected. Only tried playing one once, a friends DIY scalloped strat neck. I didn't have the right touch for it; couldn't feel the fingerboard or dig into string bends the way I normally play. Perhaps if I gave it time I could develop the right approach. But you know ...... old dogs ..... new tricks ...... why bother when nothings wrong with the old tricks?
I had to smile (while wincing... ) while watching that video as it brought back memories of the 80's when Shred was king.
I'm not joking when I say that at our shop, guys would sit around going "Okay, I'm going to play a Dorian mode and then come in on the bridge with a Lydian." We had one guy who literally would hit you with a blizzard of notes that sounded like angry bees shot out of a Thompson submachine gun. Malmsteen and Alex Gregory were his idols.
Then Guns and Roses came along and it seemed they killed that stuff overnight.

Love that. The subtlety and understatement, the dynamics, those little flurries at the end phrases.
Sweden does have some great bluesy rock and heavier stuff reminiscent of 70s. Whereas Malmsteen is just good at playing...Malmsteen.
If I want bluesy sounds from Sweden I'm partial to these guys:
