Hi there all
I live in Australia and am very limited in the transformers that are available locally. So it has come done to having to use a pair of Hammond transformers for by express build. Now i have picked out the power transformer. I am going for the 372JX however i am having trouble picking the output transformer.
Here are the two output transformers that i have narrowed it done to. It would be much appreciated if there is someone that help me decide which is best

Re: Which Output Tranny: Hammond 1650G or Hammond 1650H
Hello,
I've used the 1650H and the 1645 (prim. 5200R)to good results. Sometime someone suggested that the 1650G is quite similar to a Stancor that KF used in some of his Expresses. Can't verify this, though.
BTW, has someone tryed a JTM45 OT on the 6600 taps in an Express?
Greetings,
Timo

I used the heboer 45 watt ot available through weber with great results, sounds good to me anyway. If you use the hammond power tranformer your voltages end up like 35 volts to high.
