You guys are probably right about why time seems to go faster.

Either that, or time does not elapse at a constant rate, the way we think it does.

I've been chewing on that one for a long time, but every time I blow my mind, and I end up in a stupor for a couple more months.

I have a thoery as to why that happens. Think about it this way: When you are four years old, it takes one-fourth of you entire lifetime and experiences to get around to your next birthday. However, when you're forty years old, it only takes one-fortieth of your lifetime to get to your next birthday.

That is the same conclusion I reached when I thought about it.

Remember when you were in grade school and it seemed like forever to get through the school year?

Then 20 years after high school, it seemed like a flash in the pan.

A bass player friend and I couldn't find a drummer once, and decided to try using a drum machine. It was a total disaster. Damn thing couldn't keep tempo with us.

Darn machines. Yeah, the metronome was really messing with my mind. I swear it was changing tempo, but I know that just can't be! The metronome is a harsh taskmaster, and it is probably the best thing for me, but I hate it....

It helps when you realize that your existence is a finite object. It already exists in it's entirety. Everything that is ever going to happen to you already has, every beat has already passed. Time is merely the struggle to perceive, and comprehend the whole of your existence...
