The EQ on my 2nd gen works great! It works great on my 1st and 3rd gen too. But, they feel different than the Skyline EQ. They really are different.

Thanks Jelle. I may have to do some investigation tomorrow to see what's going on. It might be relay related. I hadn't looked inside the amp in a couple months.

Just figured my tone stack problem out, and it's funny because it appears Darin may have had the same problem I just discovered.

This layout has the R/J on/off/on with off being PAB, but i used an on/on switch, so in Rock mode I was engaging PAB...which also explains why PAB wasn't "doing much" when in Rock, but lighting up the amp in Jazz.

From my understanding PAB disconnects the tone stack...so in Rock (actually PAB) I wasn't getting any response, but when in Jazz mode the tone stack works perfectly.

That doesn't sound right, Taylor... If you use an on-on instead of an on-off-on you just lose the option of PAB in the middle "off" position. No difference in the switch wiring either way.

I wire the R/J using switch wiring as depicted in #183 and other HAD build pictures and I've never problem when the on/on is wired as such.

Any updates to this build? I've been messin with mine.

I had a nice NOS clarostat 1MA that went bad, finally I understand why that wasn't working. So finally my 1MA clean master works again. I like the clean master still! I'm starting to think that pot was causing all sorts of noise!!

Tonemerc sent me a few extra resistors to flavor the NFB. I reduced the NFB to 2.2k and it added some really nice chime. I couldn't turn it up too loud though...gotta wait until the neighbors (and the wife)go to work tomorrow. Muhaha

Im not getting much action from the tone stack, which I think is odd. How well do your controls work?
Hi Taylor
I did get the 1x12 cab done I'll post a pic asap
as far as the amp...I had a relay/footswitch problem.
Cool you found the bad pot, is it quieter now?
Tonemerc is a good guy...I think I stuck with a 3.3k NFB
Might give a 2.2k a try. I hear you on the volume. It seems
a lot of builds tend to sound/feel better louder. Or maybe I'm going deaf I'm trying to find a happy compromise at my house. Still looking for that consistent lower volume bloom/feedback/sustain give me goosebumps setting.

I do have an internal loop (tube)
and use that as my master.
I believe my tone stack was working decent...been a few weeks
I'll mess with the tone stack more and report back.

Thanks
Darin

That is what I thought...but it's not what is happening in my build...The R/J is switching the relay so maybe i have something wired incorrectly. My 102 is wired with an on/on and it works fine...so I am sure you are correct Martin.
