The local PBS affiliate showed Magical Mystery Tour and The Making Of ... last night.

So is this guy really working on tube sets?

He made me nervous when he was poking around the CRT where high voltage lurks.

One of the very few electronic service areas that I did NOT have an interest in working in was TVs.
One zap from a charged CRT was enough.
In case folks don't know the CRT will hold a charge just like a capacitor.
Tens of thousands of volts DC for a short period of time after the back of the set was removed.
Just like getting zapped by an auto ignition, not fun.

I will say that color alignment was where those guys made their money.
