Lots of us are striving for what you got right out the box.
Unless your Liverpools are realy noisy...
Well Done Jeff!
Hey Bob,
Thanks.
Liverpool's not to noisy for as much gain as they have, Express just seems to be quieter. Not sure what the magic is, but it worked. :D

Here is a short audio clip I did. Just so you could get an idea of noise levels.
Fender SRV Strat straight into the amp. SM57 in front of 2x12 with a vintage 30 and an Alnico Blue. Mic placed in front of Vintage 30. Ran into a Mackie Onyx mixer eq set flat. Then into Garage Band. No noise reduction or effects.
Not claiming to be a great guitar player, just trying to show how the amp sounds. You can hear some noise at the end of the track, but remember it is single coil pickups and I turn the guitar to full at the end also the flutter sound is when I turn to the computer at the end. Seems quiet to me for all the talk of the Express being difficult to get to cooperate. :) Almost forgot amp volume is a about 1:00 o clock tones and presence straight up and no bright switch.

Sounds like you nailed a great sounding Express and nice bass tone too.
