1K5 and 2K7?

1K5 and 2K7?
What kind of value is this? I have seen these 2 in layouts for the express in resistors but I cannot find that value? Can anyone shed some light on this?

1500 ohms and 2700 ohms. Writing 1k5 instead of 1.5k, for example, eliminates the possibility of the decimal point being missed and the value being read as 15k.

.5 watts! 
The difference is 1w are more expensive, and .5w not so expensive. If a circuit doesn't spec 1w, stay with the .5 and be happy. If all you have are 1w, use those and be happy. I like big resistors. Looks vintage. Try 2w if you have those. Those look super-vintage!

Bigger resistors sometimes might not fit depending on your layout.
Bigger resistors also have longer leads that will reach longer distances depending on your layout.
The most differences you'll hear from larger resistors will be at the input, first stage and second stages, in that order. So if you have a 1M resistor on your input jack, putting a 2W instead of 1/2W will reduce hiss. I know because I just did this and it was actually dramatic (1/2W xicon CF to a 1W PRP MF).
The first grid stopper at the socket can definitely benefit as well, and so on. Eventually you get far enough back in the circuit where the signal is not amplified enough to make a noticeable difference unless your OCD gets going.
