Dumble CD

Post by Runaway J »

Hi everybody!
Talked tubes with an old friend yesterday. He is a tubehead like me, but no guitar player, more the HiFi specialist.
Anyhow, he can’t understand the dumble hype and what makes dumbles so special (or that there is something like a ‘grail-tone’).
Thougt it would be a good idea to burn a compilation cd for him (and for me too) with about 20 pieces or so, that show best what it’s all about. Clean sound as well as overdrive. Examples of 70’/ 80’/ HRM amps would be great. I know a lot can be covered with the great music of RF and LC, but I can’t decide what to choose.
What would be on your list ?
