Well I do my damndest to grow or kill everything we eat.We buy local eggs, milk and meat.Or elseIwould have to spend all mytime growin and killin. We try to can enough veggies to last all winter and grom cool weather crops in the early spring and late fall.Of course we still have to buy crap from the store.
I've been ridin my oldladies ass about bringin junk food in the house.

I never could get my mind around the fact that there are more cattle than people around here but when you go to the store to buy a steak its from cali or somewhere

ROFLMAO

I remember when I was in school in the 70's, the teachers told us we were heading into another ice age.

Then came Al Gore to set the record straight.
I believe him because he invented the interweb thingie.

The teachers also told us that by 1980, America would be totally metric......

But now since the Mayan calendar is about to end, we don't have to worry about global warming or a new ice age. :D
Tom

Don't let that smoke out!

Watch out for agenda. It's a bitch. It hides in reasonable ideas, seemingly.

Scratch the surface til it bleeds.

Wife tends a meager garden to supply greens and tomatoes.
Whatever we can grow in this meager plot.
I LOVE fresh veggies!
Really want to build a small greenhouse sometime.

Beef?
Good call.
But rustlin' cattle is still a hangin' offense 'round these parts.

Those are cool!

Imagine what the neighbors think they are though.
Some kind of cult alien incubators...

Hopefully it's a lasting, cooling rain unlike the hot quick showers we have been seeing about every 5 days.

We've gota coupleinchesof rain over the last two days not a drought buster but a helluva a lot better than nothin. The wierd thing is all the storms came from the east. Our weather always comes from the west.Maybe we are tropical now.
The good news is temps are supposed to be back to normal for the next 7 days.Maybe this will put some water back inour creeks they were becoming unfloatable.

The weather kinda did this same thing last year june was hot as hell and dry.Wich is normally our wettest month. Then the end of july and august it was milld and rainy. When its normally blisteringand crunchy.

Did they get the westren wild fires under control?I saw on the radar you guys got some rain.We were having a lot of forest and grass fires of course nothing like colorado. Now the kids can set off their firecrackers.
