They're rugged russian military tubes on ebay and plenty cheap

I also really like the 6P14P's or 6P14P-EV's IMO they are the current best value EL84's ... in addition to sounding good and being affordable they are rated at 14 watt dissipation so in amps that run the EL84's really hard the 6P14P's or 6P14P-EV's run fine ... where JJ's won't
