Good morning!

Post by Reeltarded »

In a bad mood, but the coffee should be ready in less than a minute.

I am tired of rain. I haven't seen a star in almost 2 weeks... I slept through a 45 minute clear spell. Is the Sun still out there? I hate heat, but humidity in the 900% range dictates that you wear a flotation device...

GrrrrrrRRRRr!

:)

Man it's sticky.

Ok, now back to this Blues Deville 212. The worst amp in the World? Possibly!

Imma idiot for even messing with it.. well, I mean I am an idiot!

Good morning!

Spring weather in the Northwest can seem a bit wet.

Basically it is said that Summer doesn't start until after the 4th of July.

Although sometimes our Summers can stretch into October if we are lucky.

We used to call it an Indian Summer but that probably isn't PC anymore.

All I know is my water bill goes sky high trying to keep some of the yard green. (the wife won't stand for a brown yard)

G' Day mate!

Coffee is a wonderful elixir for whatever ails you.

As for the Blues Deville .......... if you take away the "D" at the beginning of Deville ..... and the "le" at the end .......... you got "evil". Coincidence? I think not.

As a mongrel part-native-american I discourage Political Correctness.

I used to play lead-guitar for a native-american artist. We did a lot of gigs on native lands in the US and Canada. Once played on a bill with another act called White Boy and the Wagon Burners. The guy that introduced that act fancied himself a full-blood Iroquois comedian. He went on-and-on about how "white people" that claim 1/64th Cherokee blood are frauds and phonies ..... thinking he was funny. No one was laughing (least of all me, I am part Cherokee and part Creek). He sums up his spiel by announcing the group "next up is White Boy and the Wagon Burners ....... I guess there is a white boy in the band because we didn't burn enough wagons." True story.

So, should we call it an Native American Summer?
Just kidding.

I remember a few years ago some group protested the use of the word Squaw which was prevalent in names of mountains, creeks and rivers, roads in Eastern Oregon which was and is still populated by the descendants of pioneers.
They said it was offensive and it's meaning was a certain anatomical female part.

They actually changed the names of quite a few places over there......

omg have I told you I grew up on a carnival? Ahoy! Tangent ahead!

One of my best friends was a 40-something man whom everyone knew as 'Injun', but you know it was endearing. He probably saved my life once.. I know for sure he saved my ass a couple times. Got me into grilled ham and cheese sandwiches swimming in hot sauce.. mmmMmmmm...

My best friend was a midget. Gene Malcolm. His 90 year old mother died coming down the steps from his funeral service. What a life. He wasn't in a sideshow, he ran some consessions. He owned a store outside of Bristol, and he used to bring me model airplanes 4-5 times a year, and teach me some manners.. ;)

Yeah, as colorful as hanging out with the xmen.. when they called me a carny, I thought it was out of envy! (dumb marks! lol)

I think this is why I am not often offended, and sometimes offensive. If I say something a little colorful, please have mercy; it's probably because I like you. :)

A friend of mine, a Sioux elder, correct me in our conversation about Indian Summer, he said you mean white man winter, huh!

We have Chippewa and Blackfoot in my family.

hehehehe

We are having the best Summer in my memory.

The last three months have been the driest on record.

Yesterday was around 85F but the nights are starting to get cooler so after a while the daily temps will drop.

Last year there was a day early in Sept that just had that Fall feel about it and it was the end of Summer.

Since we rely on snow pack for our water, they haven't mentioned the D word (drought) once so apparently we got enough snow to last the season.

I am not looking forward to the dark and dreary winter.
I think I get seasonal depression which is weird because I have lived here all my life.

Hopefully you guys in the mid west will get some rain to keep the dust down.
But not so much you get flooding.

Has it rained in Texas lately?
