Prinzetone Build

Post by milkyBK370 »

Hi,

I have completed another build. It's based on Ceriatone's Prinzetone amp. Really pleased with the way this little amp sounds. Nice and clean as you would expect and starts to break up nicely when pushed hard. The Tweed mode (tonestack defeat switch) ups the gain and volume greatly for solo work. It's a lot louder than I expected and I have gigged it already in a medium sized venue. No problems with clean headroom through my Eminence loaded 2x12.

As always, any comments/criticism is appreciated.

One thing to note on the pics. The 6.3v winding on the Hammond PT doesn't have a centre tap. As suggested here in another thread I simply added one 47R resistor to ground from each power tube heater, one per pair. This isn't included in the photos.
