			Ok, I am a idot.
I just rebuilt one of my Marshalls from the inputs to the tone stack.
Don't use a 1.5M grid resistor. Use a 68k. They may appear similar, but trust me.. because I know all about that.
lmao

			Hello, 'tarded!

My name is xtian, and I am an idiot. If you search my posts you will find several hi-larious, idiotic incidents.

Most recently I caught a little 120vac thru the ring of a fuse holder while I was trying to insert a fuse into a live circuit. Not a big shock, but certainly a nice reminder.

You are among friends. Idiot friends.

teehee.. It's not my only mistake, but it was a funny one.
If anyone wants any pointers on cleaning up a Marshall or similar amp, try a huge input grid resistor! Sounds INSANELY clean. Clean enough to drive me insane lol

About a half hour ago a new 33uf cap blew and what a sound that is, kind of like an old steam engine releasing pressure.

Safety glasses are always a good idea when peering into a chassis, energized or not.
Smiley here is wearing his safety glasses

Wide Eye isn't and what he doesn't know is that we're pumping 800V into his 450V rated power supply caps (which are actually fake Chinese cap-within-caps because he also cheaped out on parts as well as disregarded safety)

What I like about using a fork is, you can bend the middle prongs out of the way and hit
both sides of the socket. Works like a charm.

I already destroyed two sporks trying to bend the middle "prongs" back. Should I use heat? This plastic is brittle.

Oh well. back to kfc.

Zircon encrusted tweezers also work quite well; no pesky prongs to deal with.

Is this one of those Stew-Mac tools looking for a purpose?

Previously I just checked wall voltage by putting my tongue on the B+ and then dividing by the number of winds. Is that wrong?
