Don't ask me. I just work here.
Signatures have a 255 character limit that I could abuse, but I am not Cecil B. DeMille.

RIP - deceased artists and the music.

What does R&B mean any more?

Have to agree Zippy, the whole show seemed like deja vu, err like the movie "Groundhog", it just seemed like the same thing over and over again....

Damn I feel old....

Elevated crackheads. The winners get run over by the losers.

Can't stand to watch the show anymore. I just look up who was nominated in blues, folk, bluegrass, jazz and so on. There's still music "down" in those categories, just not stupid amounts of money.

They are whittling down the catagories to cater to the "music" conglomerates. For such a politically correct group of folks, you would think that they would imbrace diversity.

Funny thing was that, as much as I kept my comments to myself, my 8 year old noted that many of the "singers" kept saying the same thing over and over.

Nice to see Bonnie Raitt tho', even if she had to listen to Alicia Keys overplay her part. RIP Etta James - too bad they failed to include her in the tribute to deceased musicians.

Maybe I was getting a beer at the time but I failed to see ANY awards in jazz this year. I know for a fact that jazz is still being played. Maybe it's just not as relevant as exorcisms or Katy Perry "getting even" with her ex-.

Ah well, I tried... again... and failed...

All I could hear in my head as I was making coffee this morning was the line from Don McLean's "American Pie" - you (other) oldsters may recall "... the day the music died."

The music died for me when my heroes turned 60 and went on to tour another year. People used to release an album when they had something to say, and now they schedule production for 3 projects into the future, none of it good.

Adele is fabulous. Let's not include her in our undertoned tirade. Poor thing got run over in rememberance of a loser who traded immortality for a crack pipe. No mercy.

Yes, another shiny new face bursting with talent and now probably more fortune and glory than she ever dreamed of. Time will tell how well she is able to cope with it. I can't help but feel WH is yet another tragic loss among so many others.

I am harsh and unkind on purpose and with reason.

I don't mean to trash anyone's sensibility, just hard not to speak up when the questions arise. People who act like that used to wander in the wilderness alone, and now we kiss their asses, well.. not us, but you get my point.

Everything is now a damn show. Where were the musicians? Where was Ray Lamontagne. The beach boys and Springsteen were cool.
I've got blisters on my fingers!
