Pots and tone

Have you guys experimented with different pots and how they sound relative to each other? I've got Alphas in my Marshall but have heard that PEC and Allen Bradley's sound much better. It's the first time I've heard that they contribute to the tone of an amp, so I'm wondering what your experiences have been.

Well, In my experience the taper is what you want to get right.
