I find it funny too. The verbage is a bit overblown and obviously meant to make himself appear like a scientist and self-important. Circuit constants are more properly called time constants. I doubt any self-respecting analog engineer would state that the consideration of time constants is a "science". They are a basic consideration of analog electronics. Also, it is a bit of a stretch to say that 0.2" makes a big difference in the way something sounds. There are some specific areas where 0.2" lead dress would make a difference, but I'm not sure I'd call it a big difference.
Brandon use to visit here quite a lot, but now he has a business that seems to be doing well.
I don't think it is in his interest to tell us anything, and I don't mean that in a bad way, just stating a fact, who would buy one of his amps if they could do it themselves?

As far as the eBay photo's go, just weird, no gut shots which you'd expect if the guy wasn't technical, but he is technical. What is the story with all that plastic around the speakers?
Then there were shots of the on-off switches and the fuse.
Interesting that one of the normal inputs was plugged up.
This one has been on TGP for a while for that price. I've seen clips of Brandon playing it on Youtube and it sounded nice. I can't find the Youtube link now.
I wouldn't be able to pay that so instead I bought my own Bandmaster Reverb to toy with.
I disagree, I think it is appropriate to bring forward any information that that saves a fellow forum member from being ripped off. I appreciate all the assistance I get.
Whether this info is valid or not is hard to say, we would have to hear both sides of the story, what is note worthy is the customer was sufficiently disgruntled to lodge a complaint.

I feel you are disgruntled because you are still aren't getting any decent info or pics of HAD's Fender amp mods. In the scheme of things a 3 year old disagreement is just that, it really has no current relevance concerning this amplifier for sale and since you prove the validity of the complaint it shouldn't even been mentioned. The fact of the matter is, I bet you you still wouldn't be seriously interested if the price was half that, you just like stirring the "no gut shots" pot.
Tonemerc you seem to have gotten you nose put out of joint by my reply, are you the guy selling this amp?
Of course I disagree, I'm not really bothered about getting details or photos on HAD modified Fenders. The info will eventually turn up it always does. I have worked out one of his mods with a little help from the guys here. Gut shots are good when they turn up but I'm not sweating on them.
As far as the price of the amp goes I wouldn't pay a quarter of the price let alone half. I like to experiment with circuits and build stuff. I get a real kick experimenting with HAD circuits. Am I still at the right forum or has this become the gear page?
For the record the sale of the amp has ended on eBay, and it ended without a bid. Not wishing to flame, but validate my previous comment that the amp isn't worth this sort of money.
Thought I'd point out, the plastic bag around the "speakers" were probably to protect the transformers and more likely the reverb tank at the bottom of the head. That is a Head and has no speakers in it. I had one of these heads that was a few years later than this one that was stock. Fender used this big box on its reverb heads from what I understand, the reverb tank was on the bottom of the head , its been 10 years since I sold mine. Just trying to clear up this wasn't a combo amp, but a head. I will say stock it was probably one of the loudest fender amps I've ever played and owned, mine was a Dual Showman Reverb, but used the same large box. Just trying to clear up what those bags were probably about.
