Smokin Tone - that is a really sweet sounding amp... I am greatly envious of that kind of sustain. I assume the Hamer is a solid body and you had the amp cranked... great job on the playing and recording as well.
A friend of mine did an in depth comparison of various 6L6's and he determined that the Winged C's were very near the same specs as the old Black Base RCA's... Sounds like the EL-34's are also top notch.
Thanks rj. Yeah the guitar is a solid body. I believe the amp was around the 1:00 or 2:00 position on that clip. It will get a bit more gain if I crank it further. It seems from 11:00 to 2:00 is the sweet spot. Tubes make a big difference in these amps. Try different combinations and NOS if possible. The EL34 Winged =C='s are good tubes. They sounded nice in a Express.
