Just get a harbor freight step bit, when it gets dull throw it away. A chassis punch will also make the holes.

Unfortunately, we don't have such a thing as harbor freight here in Europe.
I paid something like 30 US$ for one bit. :shock:
But I just found that there are a lot of cheap step bits on the bay that should work :)

If everybody put there location in their profile then we could suggest things that are available in your area, otherwise it's a guessing game.
