Wow, just got my first set in and noticed a difference right away...a huge difference. These things sound alive compared to my other strings. I'm going to take 2 or 3 amps into the studio in the morning and let them rip. I did notice , as David said earlier, sitting here unplugged and being able to get the higher frets on the low E to sustain better than before. That's worth the 12 bucks a set right there.

I like the 10-46 gauge strings on my electrics.
What I have found is between brands is how stiff the strings feel.
I have used a ton of D'Adario strings over the years so I suppose I am used to them.
Recently I bought about a dozen packs of strings from various manufacturers.
The latest set I have on my daily player is the Curt Magnon.
They seem very stiff and hard to bend even after breaking them in.
They have a nice tone as well but since they are too stiff to bend easily I think I will pass on these.
The next set is Dean Markley Blue Steel.
I used these years ago but for some reason I stopped using them.
As I remember they sounded good and were easy to bend.
