Ginger slave-out

Post by JamesHealey »

I think i'd use the slave out quite a bit in my live rig for wet and dry stuff and loading down for small bar gigs etc..

So does anyone know the schematic for this? I suspect it's nothing too complex just like the 4k7 pot tap off the speaker jacks on JCM800s

James,

I took this from an old Guitar Player magazine article... check out the issue date! This might be more complicated than it needs to be but I have used it successfully on more than one occasion.

enjoy!

what / if anything changes if the neg feedback taps off of the 8ohm instead of the 4ohm leg?

Since the NFB loop is a voltage dependent circuit, and there is more voltage at the 8 ohm tap than the 4 ohm tap, if all component values remain the same there will be more NFB using the 8 ohm tap.
