oh, yeah...i see that now. Well I achieved one thing, thread is now longer!...I can understand guys being upset with all take and no give members. Every group has them though...but policing it would be a full time job. I'm just thankful that TAG exists and good people can be bothered to post at all. Fate is not blind....

When I was a moderator a couple of people did have to go, I did also get rid of the dead wood at one point.

We are here to build the best amps we can achieve. We are here to help each other. We are not here to promote and support someone's business, and I mean that in a very broad sense, not to pick on an individual.

Personally, I think it is up to the moderators to make a call, does action need to be taken or not?

Personally, one thread doesn't mean a lot, but if it is a continuing problem that is another thing.

I'm done.
Yours Sincerely

If this place rolled like that then there might very well be no 183 info here...

Say what you like I think this would be a loss to the greater community.

Ceriatone or not...

The two big "releases" for 2010 here IMHO are the #183 TKT and #102 Robben Ford/Ojai Layouts. Lots of talk but I wonder what happend next.

I know TAG/Shad did the 183 and that Dogears and Structo have the 102 but there must be others out there? Do you think you succeded? Is it all that and a bag of crisps? End all be all amp?

I am the only person here who has played both the real 183 and the real 102.

Maybe there was a bit of "holy crap factor" involved, but for me, 183 is a nice nice amp, and 102 is the HOLY GRAIL MONA LISA SISTENE CHAPEL of amps.

No comparison.

Just my tastes. The bursting harmonics and bass textures on 102 are off the cuff. Instant feedback all over the neck and superb cleans!

Did you make any recordings with yourself playing #102 - perhaps something as rudimentary as a simple Iphone recording?

Yeah, I know Scott. You prefer 102 maybe I would too.
But how did all the clones turn out?

I have absolutely nothing to base my opinion on about these amps, other than my D'lite and the latest 100w build, I have never played another clone or real deal Dumble.

Other than listening to clips on the internet or on CD's, I don't believe I have ever knowingly heard a Dumble live.
So I live vicariously through my brothers here. :D

But I knew I liked Robben and Larry's tone so that is what drew me here in the first place.

I have not regretted building the latest 100w once since I first turned it on. :D

Hey Tom, keep your dancing banana under control will ya :?:    I'm not a gear page member, I'm on AX84 once in a blue moon, but I try and keep it to a one forum addiction!!

Lead dress hey? Now there's a black art if ever I saw one!! Fantastic stuff, can't wait to give it a go.

then I'll get me-self one o' dem dancin' banana tings....

It's great to have these things (bloom, feedback, 'that harmonic thing') discussed. I'd noticed them, but always associated them with lots of volume, pick attack/ string pinch and vibrato. That your beloved Dumbles are doing it at low volume is very cool.

I'm starting to 'get it' I think...
