I've been using and supplying Belton sockets for a couple years now and I've found there are two grades of them in the brown Micolex that look similar but are greatly different. The cheap version has no identifying mark on it and the pin sockets really suck. The good ones have a "B" cast into the micolex and they are well made and robust. I'll try to get a picture of them so you can see the differences. It's definitely worth the extra price for good tube sockets.

rj, thanx for the tip. I just checked my stock, they have the B on them and they grip tighter than a ducks's a**!
