Hi Charlie, man my heart goes out to you. There was three or four days when I felt the same way. I was getting the sizzling, crackling noise. I was pretty sure it was a bad solder joint, but to be honest with you my eyesight isn't as good as it once was. I borrowed a jewelers visor with the friggin super duper magnification lenses and I spent hours on end searching for bad soldering. I'm STILL not 100% confident that I've got them all. You have a good looking build, you will get it straight.

Jim,

That sounds amazing... your son really plays the amp well. You seemed to whip that amp into shape pretty quickly. I still think any time somebody gets one of these things working right they should add a chapter to the "Taming the Beast" documentary on Trainwreck wizardry.
