It's good to keep more than one project on the bench. I ordered parts for my Peavey transplant relay supply so I'm back to this one.
I fired it up today for the first time. After an hour to troubleshoot odd voltages on the PI (the ground bus wire wasn't grounded..... duh) I hard wired the clean channel and it works. No oscillation but I have a ground loop somewhere based on the hum.
Looks like it's gonna be a success even with the tight fit.
Bob, you are having way too much fun !!! and did I mention that I am jealous, lol. You, Scott, Gary & Normster should form a band or open an electronic parts store !!!
I just got my Torres, Inside Amp Book ... at this rate I'll be retired before I understand what the heck I am doing.
I found the hum issue, heaters were not CT'd so I put in the 100 ohm false CT... duh.
Next I wired up the OD channel. It works, but that's all I can say for it. It' s kinda buzzy. I'm gonna hatfa look into this more later but next I'm gonna wire up the relays.

Don't believe everything he says, he's kinda wacko in some areas. Good stuff mostly though.
BTW... I AM retired.... lasted 2 days before I started another job last year.
