hello, too large value coupling caps to the power tubes----too fat and probably a bit of blocking distortion as well despite the lowered grid loads.

hey alex, did your LTD edition have a rect. tube and a resistor instead of a choke or was it like the concorde--ss rect. and choke? rh

It wasn't mine it was just here for a try out. I didn't look inside to be honest with you. I was told by the owner that it had all hand selected old tubes I can't say what brands. I am pretty sure from what I have read on TGP that the amp is identical to the Concorde only the box is different. I would agree with the often expressed opinion that is somewhere between a Marshall and an Express. I have both so I found not desire for a Concord. We hooked it up with a Tone Bone Head Bone you can't do much better in a A/B test then that.
