Guy's we all know a schematic and a soldering iron or who owns a name makes not a great sounding amplifier or a successful company..Any experienced builder here should really know this by now.. If someone designs an engine for a car and all the other manufactures uses that design it's not going to guarantee all those company's suceed..Not too much of a difference here.. You can take that design but if you can't make it sound exceptional then you won't last..It's the way of the world..There are soooo many other factors that will make you successful in this business than having a layout/schematic or a name....

Honestly, I would say "excuse me, but have a legal right by owning the trademark ODS, to kindly ask you to refrain from using it...". In the words of Don Corleone: "it's business, nothing personal".

Not sure what your actual point is, but from your post content, and tallies, it seems you signed up for the sole purpose of spamming and shilling, not sharing in any exchange of the technical aspects of D-style amps for which this website was established.

IIRC you once had neither Carlton or Ford playing your amps but you had BOTH names and MORE on your site.

Pretty sure Andy had some amps with pull pots named after both guys as well.

Here is my take.
I'm a professional musician I built my amp out of the need to retire a 1964 Vibrolux and a 1967 AC-30.
I needed a new amp that would be a bit more versatile but still cover the bases of those 2 amps. I knew of Dumbles from about the late 1980's. The cost was way out of reach at this time for a young musician. I heard of Andys' amps a while back.

Being in Australia made the this type of amp a non prospect in terms of cost and service. No one brought it into my price point till the Ceriatones came along.The joke is that a Fender custom shop amp (something built to be a professional working amp) was in the same price range as a FUCHS.

With out the use of this board and skills of it's members I would not have achieved my goal.
I would still rather have a FUCHS, Bluedoo, Red plate etc. as the build quality would see it last as long as my old fender Blackface. And i'd say they will hold there own in the market.
All rights to the builders here for developing these amps. I'm just lucky to enjoy this type of amp.

All these new builders will have to prove themselves, Andy and co. have set the bar pretty high, so I would not worry too much. If a bit of legal persuasion make their business a little more difficult? Well they will just have to work a bit harder or go under.

The issue here is that this is a "builder/hobbyist" forum where ideas are exchanged regarding circuits. It is not a forum to post about some great new commercially available clone and its price. Unless, more info is offered. A couple of gut shots maybe? Not needing to be so clear as give away some special tweaks. Also, the basic circuit. Is it a Skyliner? Bluesmaster? HRM? Once again, nobody gets upset if the exact circuit is not divulged, but not offering any useful information to accompany the clips serves no purpose other than shill or advertise for Volt amps.

You seem like a nice bloke and you play great. I am sure that your intentions were honest. Maybe posting about the Dumble a bit would be pertainant.....
