I don't know about breaking in the amp before tweaking. Maybe more like breaking in your ears.

Funny thing, I'm almost sure that my clone sounds better after 15-30 minutes of playing. Might be the warmed up fingers
cheers,

I've noticed the same thing with my amp. After about 30 minutes it just starts to sing. At first I thought it was my imagination, but two other guitar players noticed the same thing. On each occasion, their amps just seemed to get thinner after 30 minutes, when in fact, it was just the Dumble tone getting richer.mat wrote:Funny thing, I'm almost sure that my clone sounds better after 15-30 minutes of playing. i have also noticed this. even after allowing a 5-10 minute warmup on standby, still sounds better after playing for a while.mat wrote:Normster wrote:I've noticed the same thing with my amp. I have noticed this phenomen as well. My amp sounds better at certain times of the day. But unfortanatley I think it is based upon my neighborhood power demands!
