Re: Brownnote bluemonkey 88 build
This monday I received another promise that my order will be shipped within one week. Actually, I was even told that Moss was already preparing the shipment. Considering that it was already the fourth promise strangely I'm not too optimistic that it will work this time.

Those STK's in certain values are a secret weapon of mine.............didn't know anyone else was using them in D style builds. DId it ship with them or did you add them?

I see you used the STK polypropylene film caps there.
I was looking at their data at STK and it appears that polypropylene is the most stable dielectric in high heat situations.
Now I remember years ago when a guy I became acquainted with was into Hi Fi tube amps.
He loved finding old amps or receivers and he would switch out all the signal caps for polypropylene orange drops.
I don't remember which series he used but I do remember him saying that he used them because they are smoother sounding or something to that effect.
So why do we use the polyester film caps?

Interesting in that Polyester has the highest dielectric constant of all the common dielectrics.
With Polypropylene coming in second.
Sorry for the hijack.
